Welcome to Pooh Corner Childcare Centre

Established in 1989 and situated in Wanganui, Pooh Corner Childcare Centre is a community-based centre, providing quality education and care for children aged 3months to 6 years, within the district.

Our licensed full-day centre, caters for up to 32 precious children, with separate buildings for two developmental areas – under and over 2 years of age.  The two buildings are linked by an extensive clear solar-shield, providing protection from the elements and enabling continuous indoor and outdoor play all year round.

Our spacious and homely outdoor garden setting provides the perfect environment in which we can support your child to grow and develop at their own pace, to reach their full potential for future learning.

Professional and nurturing teachers each bring their own unique skills and teaching styles to the centre.  Their years of experience, coupled with excellent resources, toys and equipment, provide many fun and exciting opportunities for your child to explore and enjoy.
